I started to work here
as a student on final thesis. My field of work was optimization and
verification of a method that we use in high-throughput chemical genetics
experiments. In any method it is important that we know its range in which we
can measure quantities with the smallest error possible. So the first goal was
to set the limits within which we get best accuracy in our measurements and to
optimize steps that contribute to the biggest errors.
With this method we
produce large quantities of data. So the second goal was to develop algorithms
that will speed up the handling of them. I also standardized every step of
experiment with the aim to make the results produced at different experiments as
comparable as possible.
Now that method is
verified and works well, the next step is to increase its efficiency.
I apply the method to
reveal the molecular mechanism of action of valproic
acid.
