Participants from abroad can check the travel information for Slovenia. Portoroz is the major tourist resort on the Slovenian coast and is located 145 km from Ljubljana airport, 70 km from Trieste airport (Italy) and 125 km by road from Ljubljana. There are regular bus connections between Portoroz and Ljubljana (and other Slovenian towns) or Trieste (Italy). The nearest railway station is Koper/Capodistria (25 km) with a regular bus connection to Piran and Portoroz.
Actual weather in Portoroz.

Bernardin is the site of a former benedictine monastery of which ruins of the church are preserved on the square above the Bernardin Hotel. It is situated half-way between the Portoroz tourist resort and the pictoresqe town of Piran, the birthplace of the famous composer and violin-player Giusepe Tartini. Today Bernardin is the site of two large hotels, Bernardin*** (next to the small boat harbor) and Grand Hotel Emona***** (leaned onto the cliff). Both towns (Piran and Portoroz) are within 10 min. walk from both hotels.
